Trelissick Gardens, NATIONAL TRUST
This Picturesque garden is renowned for it's fantastic maritime views
down Carrick Roads towards the Sea. Trelissick has been planted with
abundance of tender shrubs - so characteristic of Cornwall. Some of
the most beautiful of these are Magnolias, Camelias, and
plently of Rhododendrons. Also, there are many rare varieties of
Hydrangeas and recently developed Cornish Apple Orchards. Parkland
and Riverside woods surround the estate, and walks may be enjoyed
all year around. The Trelissick Gallery is well-known among the Cornish
for it's displays of local arts and crafts.
Located 4 miles South of Truro, on both sides of the B3289. The King
Harry Ferry takes you and your vehicles from one side of the river fal
to the other from either direction. Look on a map for exact position.
